Future Film - Festival and Competition - Reimagining Canberra’s Future


Link to Future Film. Future Film is the all-ages short film competition & festival that’s here to flip the switch on the climate crisis. This is a creative platform for young people to express their ideas to reimagine Canberra's future, a future where we: solve the most pressing environmental problems; regenerate the planet; create awareness of sustainable solutions and technology in use now ... or explore unique solutions for the future!


Fute Film Education

√ K-3 & 4-6 - 2 Primary categories
√ Yr 7-9 & 10-12 - 2 Secondary categories
√ 18 - 25 years - 1 Tertiary / Community category

Future Film is open to all young people under the age of 25. 

Participants can work in classes, in groups or individually. Entries created and previously screened as part of school assessments, including those with facilitation by teachers, are eligible to enter. 

Media students may have a particular interest.

Features

  • Free intensive filmmaking workshop during the Easter school holidays (must apply, limited spaces available)
  • Free sustainability and advanced filmmaking workshops weekly during term 2 (must apply, limited spaces available) 
  • Participants submit films via the Canberra Short Film Festival website from Feb - June 2020
  • Winning films will be screened at the 2020 Canberra Short Film Festival 
  • Winners will receive awesome prizes either for themselves or their school - in 5 categories years K-3, 4-6, 7-9, 10-12 and 18 - 25 year olds
